Aimsites.org is a service designed for AIM Missionaries to create and maintain their own website or blog.
Are you an AIM Missionary wanting a blog to share what God is doing in Africa and amongst Africans?
I will be updating the congregation of my home church on October 31st so please keep me in your prayers!
For the first 6 months when I arrive I will be language learning. I will be learning Gujarati.
I just got done with my interview for The Tribune. The article will be run sometime in September. I told them all about AIM and TIMO. I told them what I will be doing in TZ and what I am doing here to prepare. We shall see what doors God chooses to open through that.

In the beginning of June two of my siblings will be traveling home. My brother who lives in Texas and my sister who lives in California. My sister will be bringing her two children ages 4 and 3. This will probably be the last time I see them before I leave July 2011. I won’t be seeing them for over three years. I wonder if the kids will really remember me . I have a brother and a sister who live nearby. My brother has 1 child and my sister has 3. One of which will be graduating from high school. We have declared that the time we will spend together will be a celebration. God has blessed us with this time together! I am very excited!
I called a family meeting to discuss my leaving on a TIMO team next year (2011) to Tanzania. After the meeting one of my teenage nephews used is fathers cell phone and found Tanzania on Google Maps and found the city I said I would be living in and declared to me “It doesn’t look so bad.” Technology is continually changing. My family was discussing communicating with me and how we can Skype and email and etc. After I just kept thinking about all the early missionaries that went to Africa. They didn’t have the technology we have today. When they said goodbye to family it was really goodbye not I will see you later on Skype. Isn’t it crazy? They packed their belongings in coffins because they knew they would not be coming back. I am trying to decide should I sell my car? I may need it in two years when I get back. The faith it had to have taken to go. I pray I will have 1/10th the faith these early missionaries had.
I give my first church presentation to my home church on Palm Sunday! I got an anonymous donation for my first months prayer letter printing costs! I am going to hand them out to those who sign up for my prayer letter. Also i will be scheduling appointments to meet with people and small groups. Keep me in your prayers.
Whether it is my new blog, my new prayer letter, or my life God seems to be at work. He his always tearing down the old and rebuilding new. Last night my report to session went really well. This is going to be an exciting time.
Tonight I will go before session and let them offically know that I was appointed by African Inland Mission and answer any questions they have for me. Keep me in your prayers tonight at 7:00 EST.
